Missouri is well outside our home area in Southwest Virginia, so we are clear about it: we travel for the right job. Call or text with your county and a rough idea of the building.
Four real seasons
Missouri gets cold winters with snow and ice, hot humid summers, and a strong spring storm season. Freeze-thaw cycles are hard on concrete, so footers have to go below local frost depth. Northern Missouri sees more snow; the Ozarks in the south have rocky, hilly ground; the bootheel is flat farm country.
For snow, a vertical roof is the best choice. For wind, certified loads and good anchoring. Every building we sell is certified for local wind and snow loads, and engineered drawings are available.
What Missourians build
- Hay barns and equipment sheds for cattle and grain farms
- Shops for farm repair, welding, and woodworking
- Garages for trucks, tractors, and side-by-sides
- Boat and RV storage near the big lakes
- Small commercial storage buildings
Concrete done right
Turnkey means we handle site review, prep, footers, a 4-inch slab, and setting the building. We talk about control joints and vapor barriers so your slab holds up through freeze and thaw. See our foundation process.
Ask your county
Many rural Missouri counties have few or no building codes for farm buildings, while cities and some counties have full permit processes. Frost depth requirements also vary. Call your county or city office before ordering so you know what applies.
Thinking about size and doors
For farm equipment, measure your widest and tallest machine with everything folded up, then add room to work around it. For a shop, think about benches, a lift, and where a welder or compressor will sit. Door placement matters as much as building size. A big roll-up door on the gable end of a long building works well for pulling straight through. Our calculators and size guide can help you rough it out before you call.
For lake property around the Ozarks, steep lots and tight roads are common. Send us photos of the driveway and building site so we can tell you up front what the site prep may look like.
Enclosed buildings qualify for rent-to-own with 15% down and 90 days same as cash from delivery. Call or text 276-235-1191 to talk it through.
