Metal Buildings in Lee County, VA

Red standing seam metal roof on a gray steel building

Lee County is the far western tip of Virginia, running from Cumberland Gap and Ewing through Rose Hill and Jonesville to Pennington Gap and St. Charles. The Powell River valley is good farm country, with mountains on either side and coal history up in the northern end.

We are a family-run metal building and concrete contractor based in Southwest Virginia, and we make the trip to Lee County for the whole job, not just a drop-off.

Buildings Lee County Folks Ask For

  • Hay and equipment barns for valley farms
  • Garages for trucks, cars, and side-by-sides
  • Workshops and storage buildings
  • Hunting gear and camper storage near the national forest
  • Lean-tos and covers for livestock

One Point of Contact

We handle the site review, site prep, footers, 4-inch slab, and the steel building install. The building is delivered, set, anchored, and checked before we leave. Concrete is quoted separately from the building. You can read more about the process on our concrete page and see past work in the gallery.

How to Vet Any Builder

Whoever you hire, do some homework. Check their Facebook business page, and if reviews are not showing, move on. Make sure they have been in business more than a couple of years. Watch for fake reviews, like odd foreign names or a bunch posted close together. Then do the same check on Google.

Rent-to-Own Terms

Not ready to pay for the whole building up front? Our rent-to-own program starts with 15% down, and the monthly payments run about 25% lower than typical rent-to-own programs. You also get 90 days same as cash, and that clock starts the day the building is physically delivered. Enclosed buildings qualify. Open carports are not eligible for rent-to-own.

Permits in Lee County

Every county handles permits a little differently, and setbacks, frost depth, and wind and snow requirements are set locally. Before we pour anything, check with the Lee County building office about what your building needs. We can supply engineered drawings for the permit packet, and we will work around whatever the inspector asks for.

Common Questions

Do you really come all the way out to Lee County?

Yes. We serve all of Lee County, including Jonesville, Pennington Gap, St. Charles, Rose Hill, and Ewing.

Do I have to hire my own concrete contractor?

No. We do the site prep, footers, and 4-inch slab ourselves, then install the building. One company handles it all.

What size barn should I get for hay?

That depends on how many bales you store and what equipment you need to fit. Our size guide is a good start, and we are happy to talk it through.
