Open ground, open wind
Much of Indiana is flat farmland where nothing slows down the wind. Northern Indiana gets lake-effect snow off Lake Michigan, and the whole state has cold winters with freeze-thaw. Southern Indiana is hillier, with more trees and more rain. Spring storms can be severe statewide.
Wind and snow both matter here, so certified loads are important. Every building we sell is certified for local wind and snow loads, with engineered drawings available. A vertical roof is the best choice for shedding snow.

County rules apply
Indiana counties and towns set their own requirements for permits, setbacks, and inspections. Some treat ag buildings differently than residential garages. Call your county building or area plan commission office before you order.

We have been in the metal building business since its early days and have seen a lot of companies come and go. Today we work with four vetted manufacturers and have cut ties with 53 others over quality and integrity issues. Out on open Indiana farmland, a building that is not built right will show it fast in the first big windstorm. We would rather sell fewer brands we trust.

If you are near Lake Michigan, ask your county about snow load for your exact location. Lake-effect areas can be quite different from the rest of the state.
