The Jersey Shore faces nor’easters, hurricanes, and salt air. The Pine Barrens have sandy soil. North Jersey is hillier, with colder winters and more snow. Everywhere, humidity in summer and freeze-thaw in winter are worth planning for.
Near the coast, wind certification and anchoring are key. Inland and up north, snow load matters more. Every building we sell is certified for local wind and snow loads, with engineered drawings available, which most New Jersey towns will ask for.

Concrete and building

Permits are expected
Most New Jersey towns require permits for accessory buildings, and zoning rules on size, height, and setbacks are common. Shore towns may also have flood zone requirements. Call your town’s building and zoning offices before you order.
Lock it in or spread it out
A 15% deposit locks your quoted building price until spring, which gives you time to get through permits and zoning without worrying about steel prices moving. If you would rather make payments, enclosed buildings qualify for rent-to-own with 15% down, payments about 25% lower than typical rent-to-own programs, and 90 days same as cash from delivery. Open carports are not eligible.
Before you buy from anyone, check the company’s Facebook and Google reviews, make sure they have been around more than a couple of years, and watch for reviews that look fake.
In South Jersey farm country, larger equipment buildings are more common, while North Jersey buyers usually want a garage or shop that fits a smaller lot. Tell us your lot size and town and we will help you size it.
