Upstate snow
Much of New York gets serious winter. Lake-effect snow off Lake Erie and Lake Ontario can bury the western and central parts of the state, and the Adirondacks and Tug Hill are known for heavy snow. Frost goes deep, so footers have to reach below local frost depth. Long Island and the coast deal more with wind and storms.
For snow country, a vertical roof is the clear choice. Every building we sell is certified for local wind and snow loads, with engineered drawings available. Ask your county what load your area requires.

Getting the foundation right
Our turnkey service handles site review, prep, footers, a 4-inch slab, and the building install. In deep-frost areas, footer depth and drainage matter most. Read more about our foundations.
Local rules vary
In New York, towns and villages often handle building permits and zoning. Requirements on snow load, setbacks, and inspections can differ from town to town. Call your town code enforcement office before you order.
Rent-to-own and concrete payments
Enclosed buildings qualify for rent-to-own with 15% down and 90 days same as cash from physical delivery. Payments run about 25% lower than typical rent-to-own programs. Open carports are not eligible.
If we pour your concrete, it is quoted separately from the building. You pay 10% of the job subtotal at signing, which is non-refundable, then 35% of the remaining balance when the footers are poured and 65% when the 4-inch slab is poured. You pay as the work gets done.
If you are in the Hudson Valley or on Long Island, expect more detailed zoning than upstate. Plan for extra time to get approvals before your build date.
